7 IMPACT Days of Service Continues..
Let's do our part to make an IMPACT in our community.
In lieu of our annual Christmas Party, Xi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is proud to be partnering with faith organizations to Feed Families for the Holidays We have identified 10 faith based organizations to receive a minimum donation of $100 to help feed one or more families this holiday season.
You can help match the chapter’s gift by making a tax deductible donation to our 501c(3) charitable organization XLCAPA, Inc. for XL Feed a Family for the holidays campaign using PayPal or by check or Money Order. Thanks to those that have already contributed, Funds will be distributed to the churches the week of Jan 10th, 2020.
There is still time to make an IMPACT. We have extended the matching campaign until Jan, 9th to maximize our contribution.

Pacific Garden Mission - An annual tradition
While it is inadvisable to go to the building given the state-wide stay at home order, we have determined a way we can still give the PGM what it needs to serve their residents.
95% of the residents and staff of have contracted COVID and are battling it daily. Therefore, they have asked that we provide the following list of items to support the residents.
They are in need of the following:
- Face masks
- Shower shoes
- Cough Drops
- Mens and womens’ underwear (new)
- Winter Coats (men, women and children)
- Body Wash (must be in sizes 10 oz. or larger)
- Mens’ Blue Jeans
- Womens’ toiletry items
- Financial Support
We have created an Amazon wish list account that can be found here. When you click on the link, a list of items will be populated on the webpage pointing to a donation to the Pacific Garden Mission c/o Alpha Phi Alpha – XL. Here you can choose any items you would like on the list. The sizes should vary and please choose as much as you are willing to purchase as the mission has well over 300 residents per day. The giving campaign until the end of the holiday season ending January 4th 2021.

THE CHAMP IS HERE!
We completed another successful ChicagoAlphas FFL season albeit during a pandemic where we found games postponed and players injured because of mere exposure to the virus. Along the way we were able to crown a first time champion Champagne Life (Russell Austin) to the top of the league. Russ put in the work and made all the right moves. Congratulations on a season well played. Kudos to RAW IS WAR (Roy Walker) on making it to the big game as his team peaked at the right time after some hard luck losses during the season.
As always, It was a very competitive and challenging season given the uncertainty. We introduced a few rule changes to mitigate the risk but overall the NFL made it happen and we were able to finish the year strong with no delay.
Thanks to all of the brothers in the league for making this year as always a great fellowship experience.

THERE GOES AN ALPHAMAN!
It is with extreme sadness and a very heavy heart that we announce to the Brotherhood that Brother Donnie Kirksey (Omicron Xi ’83) has entered Omega Chapter after a two week battle with COVID-19. He was a very dear friend and a brother’s brother. Please keep Brother Kirksey’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of bereavement.
Rest in power dear brother.
